Personality:

     Juicy & tough

     Likes sun or partial shade

Does well in a normal room environment & can tolerate air conditioning.

Not toxic or harmful to humans or pets.

Care Tips:

Loves dry and well-drained soil. Use the wooden stick to check if the soil is dry. The plant is ready for watering only when you dip and remove the stick and no soil sticks to it.

Water every 7 days in the summer and every 14 days in the winter.

During the growth period, you can feed it with some fertiliser. (Optional)

When it outgrows the pot, replant it in a slightly larger pot.

Water & dropper usage:

How much water does my plant need, approximately?

  • Mini 50ml
  • Petite 100ml
  • Midi 250ml
  • Lush 400ml

How do I use the dropper?

Get a small cup of water with the suggested amount, fill the dropper by squeezing it and water around the plants directly on the stones, avoid putting water directly on the plants/leaves to protect them from rotting.

Common problems of Lace Aloe:

Problem: Leaves becoming soft, soggy and mushy

Cause: Overwatering.

Solution: To avoid this problem make sure you provide your Aloe with drainage and  use our dropper to water directly on the stones.

Problem: Dried brown leaf edges

Cause: Too much sunlight also known as ‘sun burn’.

Solution:To avoid this, make sure your plant is in a bright spot but protected from direct sun (only needs 6 hours).

In the wild

The beautiful Aloe Aristata otherwise known as Lace Aloe originates from the mountain areas of South Africa. The Aloe is a succulent, it lives well in climates with barely any water with dry and warm conditions. This is a rare plant to find in the wild as it does regularly get harvested by locals for its wound healing benefits.
